Capture Audio From Another Browser Tab

LiveSunday can now listen to audio playing in another tab — Zoom, YouTube, or any other source — so you do not need a microphone for captions and translation.

LiveSunday capturing audio from a different browser tab

You can now caption and translate audio that is already playing in another tab. Useful when the computer running LiveSunday does not have access to a clean audio feed, and the mix lives in Zoom, YouTube Live, a web player, or another in-browser source.

How to use it

  1. Open the Stream page and find Audio Input.
  2. Choose Another browser tab.
  3. Select the tab that is playing audio.
  4. Enable Share tab audio in the browser prompt. LiveSunday cannot hear the tab without this.
  5. Optionally use Test audio, then press Start.

This works in Chrome and Edge on a computer. Safari, Firefox, and mobile browsers cannot share tab audio. If you close the shared tab or stop sharing, captions pause until you share a tab again.
