MediaShout
Add LiveSunday captions to MediaShout using a web or browser object.
MediaShout supports adding web-based content directly into your cue list. You can display LiveSunday captions as a live web layer over your existing slides and media.
What you need
Your overlay URL from the LiveSunday dashboard (Captions → your link → copy overlay URL).
Steps
Copy your overlay URL
In your LiveSunday dashboard, go to Captions, open your caption link, and copy the overlay URL.
Add a Web Cue in MediaShout
- In your cue list, click Add Cue (or right-click to insert).
- Select Web (or Browser / Web Page depending on your version).
- Paste your overlay URL into the URL field.
Size and position the object
Set the web object to full screen or to the specific area where you want captions. The overlay renders a transparent background, so only the caption text will appear.
If you want captions to persist on top of other content (e.g. over lyrics), configure the cue to display as a layer rather than replacing the current cue.
Trigger the cue and start streaming
Trigger the web cue in MediaShout, then start your stream in the LiveSunday dashboard. Captions will begin appearing in real time.
Tip
Keep the web cue active throughout the service. It will display captions when the stream is live and go blank automatically when the stream ends.
Fallback: browser window + capture card
If MediaShout doesn't have a native web cue option in your version:
- Open the overlay URL in a browser on a secondary output.
- Feed that output into MediaShout as a video source via HDMI capture card or NDI.
Check your version
Web cue support may vary by MediaShout version. Check the MediaShout documentation for your version if the option isn't visible.
