Check your audio levels

Do this every time you change the sound setup, and before your first service.

Run the audio test

1. Open Stream Controls.
2. Next to Audio Input, click Test audio.
3. Have someone speak at their normal volume into the microphone they'll use.

The bars move when LiveSunday hears sound. If you shared a browser tab, play something in that tab instead.

What good looks like

• The bars move clearly with each word and drop back between sentences.
• The bars stay quiet when nobody is talking.
• The bars don't sit at the top the whole time. That means the signal is too loud and may distort.

If the bars barely move, turn up the output on your mixer or interface, not the speaker's microphone. If they move all the time, the feed is picking up music or room noise. Send a mix with less of both.

Common problems

No movement at all. The wrong input is selected, or the cable is in the wrong output on the mixer. Check the input list first.

An error in the test window. The browser has lost access to the device. See Allow microphone access.

Sound only on one side. Some interfaces send the voice on one channel only. That's fine as long as the bars move.
