Allow microphone access
Fix a blocked microphone in Chrome, Edge or Safari, and on macOS and Windows.
LiveSunday listens through your browser, so the browser needs permission to use your microphone or audio interface. The first time you open Stream Controls, click Grant microphone access and choose Allow.
If you clicked Block by accident, or the microphone list stays empty, work through the steps below.
Chrome and Edge
- Click the icon to the left of the address bar.
- Find Microphone and set it to Allow.
- Reload the page.
If the microphone list shows the wrong device, open chrome://settings/content/microphone in Chrome or edge://settings/content/microphone in Edge and pick the right default.
Safari
- Open Safari > Settings for livesunday.ai.
- Set Microphone to Allow.
- Reload the page.
We recommend Chrome or Edge for the console. Safari can't capture audio from another browser tab.
macOS
macOS also has to allow your browser to use the microphone.
- Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone.
- Turn on the switch next to your browser.
- Quit the browser and open it again.
Windows
- Open Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone.
- Turn on Microphone access and Let apps access your microphone.
- Make sure Let desktop apps access your microphone is on too, then restart the browser.
Still not working
Check that no other app is holding the device, such as Zoom or your recording software. Unplug and reconnect the audio interface, then reload the page.
Set up your audio input
Get the speaker's voice into LiveSunday from a mixer, an audio interface, a microphone or a browser tab.
Check your audio levels
Use the audio test to confirm LiveSunday hears the speaker clearly before you go live.
