Choose translation languages
Turn on the languages your listeners need and understand your plan's language limit.
Translation languages are the languages listeners can pick on their phones. Listeners can always read the speaker's own language too, so you don't need to add it.
Add a language
- Open Stream Controls.
- In step 3, Translation Languages, click Search and add a language...
- Type the language name and pick it.
To remove a language, click the cross on its chip. Changes save right away.
How many you can add
Your plan sets how many languages you can translate into at the same time. The number of listeners doesn't matter. Fifty people reading Spanish count as one language.
| Plan | Languages included |
|---|---|
| Free trial | 2 |
| Pay as you go | 1 |
| Pro | 3 |
| Advanced | 5 |
When you reach the limit, the search box disappears. Add more languages in Billing, or swap one out for another.
Pick the languages people actually need
Ask your listeners before you turn on a long list. Each language you add is a choice on the listener page, and a short list is easier to scan.
Why translations lag a little
Each translation waits for a complete sentence before it appears. Translating word by word would give the wrong word order in most languages. Captions in the speaker's language show up faster because they don't wait.
Choose the speaker language
Tell LiveSunday which language the speaker uses so it transcribes them correctly.
