Run your first live session

Once your audio and languages are set, starting a session takes one click.

Before you start

• Plug in the computer. A laptop on battery may slow down or sleep.
• Turn off sleep and screen lock for the length of the service.
• Close apps you don't need, especially other apps using the microphone.

Start the stream

1. Open Stream Controls.
2. Check the three setup steps. They keep last week's choices.
3. Click Start stream at the bottom of the page.

If the button is greyed out, read the line next to it. Choose a microphone above first means no audio input is selected. Streaming isn't available on your plan means your trial minutes have run out or your subscription needs attention in Billing.

While you're live

The page changes to show the session:

• A summary of your audio input, languages and auto-stop setting.
• The live transcription, so you can see what LiveSunday hears.
• The QR code and link, ready to share.
• The number of listeners connected, at the bottom.

You can clear the text or hide captions on every listener's screen from the transcription panel. Hiding is useful during a song, a private prayer or a video clip.

Keep the browser tab open for the whole service. The audio comes from this tab, so closing it or letting the computer sleep stops the captions.

Only one person runs a session at a time. If someone else on your team has the console open, you'll see their name and the stream stays with them.

Stop the stream

Click Stop stream when the service ends. Captions stop on every listener's screen and in your overlays.

If you forget, LiveSunday stops the session after 3 minutes of silence, so you don't use minutes by accident. You can turn this off under the advanced streaming options on Stream Controls.

After the session

Open History to see past sessions, how many people joined and the transcript. Download the transcript if you want to keep it. LiveSunday deletes sessions and their transcripts after 60 days.
