Captions get words wrong
Improve transcription and translation with a cleaner feed, the right speaker language and keywords.
Translations can only be as good as the transcription they start from. Check the Live transcription panel on the console first. If the words are wrong there, every language will be wrong too.
Fix the audio first
Most mistakes come from the feed, not the language.
- Use a feed from your mixer with the speaker's microphone up and music down. See Set up your audio input.
- Run the audio test. The bars should move with each word and stay quiet between sentences.
- Avoid the computer's built-in microphone. It picks up the whole room.
Check the speaker language
If whole sentences come out as nonsense, the speaker language may be wrong.
- Open step 2, Speaker Language, in Stream Controls.
- Pick the language the speaker uses, including the regional variant if there is one.
- Change it between sessions, not during one. See Choose the speaker language.
Add keywords for names and terms
Names of people, places and ministries are the most common misses. Teach them to LiveSunday.
- Open Advanced on Stream Controls, then Keywords & Filtering.
- Pick the speaker's language in the language menu. Each language has its own list.
- Type a name or term and press Enter.
- To find terms faster, use Pull terms from your notes. Click Upload, pick sermon notes as a .txt or .md file, and LiveSunday suggests up to 20 names and terms.
Keywords apply from your next live session.
In English, Spanish, Russian and Romanian, LiveSunday already knows common church and Bible words, such as Holy Spirit, Pentecost and Bethlehem. Once you add your own keywords for a language, your list replaces that built-in list for that language. Add the Bible words your services use most to your own list too.
