The Start stream button is greyed out

Read the message next to the button, then fix the microphone, plan or connection problem it points to.

When LiveSunday can't start a live session, Start stream at the bottom of Stream Controls is greyed out. The line under the button tells you why.

Choose a microphone above first

You haven't picked an audio input.

  1. Go to step 1, Audio Input, in Stream Controls.
  2. Pick the input your sound desk feeds.
  3. If the list is empty, click Grant microphone access. If the browser doesn't ask, follow Allow microphone access.

Streaming isn't available on your plan

A red message near the top of the page gives the reason:

  • You've used all your free trial minutes. Choose a plan to keep streaming.
  • Choose a plan to start streaming. You picked a paid plan but didn't finish checkout.
  • Your subscription isn't active. Update your billing details to start streaming.

To fix it:

  1. If you're an Owner, click Complete checkout next to the message.
  2. If you're an Operator, you won't see that link. Ask an Owner of your organization to open Billing.

Someone else is running the session

The line under the button says another person's name, for example Sam is running this session. Only one console can run a live session at a time. The controls unlock when that session ends.

  1. Ask that person to click Stop stream.
  2. If it's you on another computer or tab, stop it there.

The console isn't connected

The status next to the timer shows Connecting, Reconnecting or Disconnected instead of Connected. You may also see Not connected to the server. Retrying…

  1. Check that the computer is online. A wired connection is best.
  2. Wait a few seconds. The console retries on its own.
  3. If it says Couldn't connect to the console., reload the page.

An error after you click

If a Something went wrong message appears, read its text and try Start stream again.

If your input is Another browser tab and you see Could not share tab audio, pick the tab again and turn on Share tab audio in the browser's dialog. See Set up your audio input.
